Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and how to get in touch about it.

Last updated: November 2026

This policy explains what information Sheds4me (sheds4me.co.uk) collects when you use the site, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

  • Usage data: pages visited, how you arrived, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Information you send us: if you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
  • Cookies: small files that help the site work, measure traffic and attribute affiliate referrals.

Affiliate links and cookies

When you click a link to a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer or affiliate network may set a cookie so they know the visit came from us. We don’t receive your name, address or payment details from these purchases. Their own privacy policies apply once you’re on their site.

How we use your information

  • To run, maintain and improve the site
  • To understand which content is useful
  • To reply to your messages
  • To meet legal obligations

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for automated decision-making.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. Blocking cookies may stop some parts of the site from working as intended.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email hello@sheds4me.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
